It's an outdoor paradise. From an April edition of The Munich Post:

The city built or fully renovated nine outdoor fitness trails, calisthenics parks, and playgrounds last year – all open to everyone, and all FREE. Highlights include a pump track in Berg am Laim, a fitness trail at Theresienwiese, and a bouldering facility at Westbad in Pasing.
New playgrounds landed across the city too, including a 12-meter play tower at Theresienwiese, a water play area at Gollierplatz in Westend, and a jungle-themed climb at Thuillestraße. More are coming this year in Haidhausen, Perlach, and Baumkirchen Mitte.
Want to find the nearest one? The city's playground finder lets you filter by age group, equipment, and features like skate parks or fitness trails.
